They Plan the Trip on Your Site — Then Book It There

  • Take the quiz

Six questions, seven travel personalities and an explained result — then recommendations with a plain-language reason for each. No AI, no guesswork.

  • Build my trip

A step-by-step planner returns a ranked shortlist, and the itinerary generator turns it into day-by-day plans that respect opening hours and pace.

  • Edit, map and take it along

Drag and drop, swap, re-time and undo on the trip canvas, see it on a map, then save, print, export to a calendar or download it for offline use.

About tourbookingpro.com

Booking Websites Are What We Do

tourbookingpro.com builds booking websites for rental and travel businesses — and tour operators are where planning and booking meet. We’ve seen where generic themes and “enquire now” pages fall short, and we build around those gaps: destination guides that actually help, tour pages that sell, an itinerary builder that respects opening hours and a trip planner travellers enjoy using.

Founded in 2019, we work with clients worldwide — from one-guide walking-tour businesses to multi-destination operators.

Why not a generic travel theme?

  • Opening hours drive the itinerary, not just the footer of a page.
  • Recommendations come with reasons you control — no black-box AI.
  • Maps run on bundled Leaflet: no API key, no bill, no tracking.
  • Your booking system stays — every tour links straight to it.

What ships with every site

Everything a Tour Operator’s Website Needs

Every tourbookingpro.com website runs on WordPress with our trip-planning plugin — content types built for travel, pages that sell, and planning tools travellers actually use.

Content you manage

Tours, places and destination guides in WordPress

Everything lives in the WordPress editor your team already knows — with fields built for travel, not bolted on.

  • Five content types: destinations (nested country → region → city → area), activities, restaurants, properties and tours
  • Fields for prices, durations, difficulty, guests, amenities, coordinates, booking links and galleries
  • Five taxonomies: activity categories, cuisines, property types, amenities and travel tags
Pages that sell

Modern single pages for every tour and place

Activity, restaurant, property and tour pages designed to answer every question and keep the booking button in view.

  • Photo gallery with lightbox and a sticky price and booking panel
  • What’s included, opening hours, map and related places
  • Mobile action bar for one-tap booking on phones
Helping visitors decide

A quiz and recommendations that explain themselves

Travellers who don’t know what they want get guided to your tours — with a reason they can read.

  • Travel personality quiz: six questions, seven personalities, explained results — works without JavaScript
  • Recommendation engine: rule-based weighted scoring across interests, travellers, budget, destination and pace
  • A plain-language reason on every suggestion. No AI involved
Planning a trip

An itinerary generator and a real trip canvas

Day-by-day plans travellers can actually follow — and edit — built from your own tours and places.

  • Itinerary generator that respects opening hours, pace and maximum activities per day
  • Trips split sensibly across towns
  • Trip canvas: drag and drop by mouse, touch or keyboard, editable times and costs, undo
Maps and distance

Maps with no API key, account or tracking

Leaflet is bundled in the plugin, so maps cost nothing to run and load no third-party scripts.

  • Leaflet bundled: no API key, no account, no third-party script
  • Maps on destination and item pages, a trip map and a Map tab in the planner
  • Explore nearby: places sorted by distance
Saving and sharing

Trips travellers keep, print and take offline

Plans that follow the traveller from the sofa to the airport — and bring them back to book.

  • Saved trips for logged-in visitors, with a My Trips page
  • Guest trips that carry over on request when they sign up
  • Offline copy: the whole trip as one self-contained HTML file

Who we build for

Built for Operators Like These

Small family businesses and growing tour companies, city guides and island boat operators. The names below are examples of the kinds of businesses we build for.

Our process

Five Steps From First Call to Live Bookings

A structured build with a staging link at every stage — nothing goes live until you’ve planned a real trip and clicked through to a real booking.

  1. 01

    Discovery call

Your tours, destinations, seasons, prices, booking system and the travellers you want more of.

  2. 02

    Build & configure

Site, plugin, destination guides, tours and places, quiz and recommendation rules on a private staging link.

  3. 03

    Review & revise

You take the quiz, generate itineraries, drag things around and test every booking link.

  4. 04

    Launch & train

We go live together, submit your sitemap and show your team how to add tours and tune the rules.

  5. 05

    Support

30–60 days of post-launch support included, with ongoing plans available.

How a build works, step by step →

Travel website SEO

Built to Be Found, Not Just Built

A planning site only works if travellers find it. Every build ships with the local SEO foundations tour operators need to compete in search and AI answers.

Destination guides

Useful pages for every place you operate — seasons, tips, safety notes and your tours — not thin doorway pages.

Tour pages that match searches

“Santorini sunset cruise”, “Rome food tour”, “things to do in Lisbon” — pages built around how people actually search.

Structured data

Business, breadcrumb and FAQ markup so search engines understand who you are, what you run and where.

Speed & mobile

Lightweight templates, cached planner endpoints and no map scripts from third parties — fast on hotel Wi-Fi.

Many languages

Translation-ready from day one, so Spanish, Italian, German or Turkish versions can rank in their own markets.

AI-search ready

Answer-first summaries, FAQ markup and an llms.txt file so AI assistants can understand and cite your business.

FAQ

Before You Ask

A tour booking website lets travellers find, plan and book your tours on your own site instead of a marketplace. Ours go further than a booking button: visitors take a travel-personality quiz, get recommendations with reasons, generate a day-by-day itinerary, edit it on a drag-and-drop trip planner, see it on a map and book your tours from it — all on WordPress, with the Tour Booking Pro plugin.

Most sites launch in 7–10 days, depending on how many tours, activities and destinations you have and how much content — prices, photos, descriptions — is ready at kickoff.

Starter is $750: the full plugin, one destination guide, up to 10 tours or activities entered for you and booking links to your system. Growth is $1,500: up to 40 listings, several destinations, tuned recommendation rules, a second language and 60 days of support. Multi-destination operators and integrations are quoted individually.

Yes. Every tour has its own booking link, so you can keep the reservation system you already use (and its payments), or on Growth and Custom we can set up online payment or deposits through WooCommerce with a card processor such as Stripe.

No. It is a rule-based, weighted scoring engine across interests, travellers, budget, destination and pace. You can add your own IF/THEN rules on the Recommendation Rules screen without code, preview where every point comes from, and every suggestion shows a plain-language reason.

No. Leaflet is bundled in the plugin, so maps need no API key, no account and no third-party script. Maps can also be switched off entirely.

Every build includes local SEO foundations: destination guides, tour pages built around real searches like “boat tours in [city]”, structured data and fast mobile pages. Rankings also depend on your reviews, Google Business Profile and competition — see our Travel Website SEO page for how we approach it.
